Lets start a helpful topic. If you roll a bat and have good results put the bat name and what you did. We all should know sometime bats break after you roll
them somtimes. Well I had some break without rolling them. The point of rolling bats is to speed up the break in time. So only positive info here please.

I rolled a freak+ at one turn. I got pretty good reaction from the bat. I might try 1 1/2 I will keep you posted.

I rolled a senergy flex 08 at 1 turn and didn't see much results. I wil try 1 1/2. Its a pretty stiff bat.

I rolled quite a few bats. Juggy at 2 turns and wow, flex x4 all at 1 and 3/4 turns same results, stealth at 2 turns, recoil at 2 turns, freaks x 5 all at 2
turns and holy pop, easton extended at 1 1/2 turns... shitty bat but good results. I'll keep you posted.

Rolled a wrath yesterday at 1 turn and took it out at the ball diamond and hit about 280 just throwing it up to myself and hitting it. Cant wait to hit with it
next wed.

Should I even post this? Yep, I rolled a TPS Maverick today at 1/2 then 3/4. Second pull, I was ducking for cover. Sounded like a bullet shot thru my house.

I found no cracks tho. I hit the bat stock last night. Figured for sure I'd have splinters, felt like a wood bat. Stiff as F>>>. I hit it tonight, about 10 pitches and it did loosen up but it needs some more. I'll try it at 1.00 but not sure if it'll hold it. Anyone roll the Big Brother Voltage yet? How many turns?

Rolled a Miken 585 today. Bat has about 100 hits on it. It rolled nicely, quietly at 1.00 turn. Cranked it to 1.25 turns and still no noise. I took it out
and examined it, cracking in about 8 spots. 1/4 inch cracks all around the barrel. Ooops. Barely made a single sound while rolling it. I was ready to take
it to 1.50 if I hadn't looked at it. 1.00 would be its max.

I did a stealth + 2009 at 1.25 turns on the new threaded machine. It is hot. I hit it off a tee about 345-355 range. I'm no power hitter either.

Rolled a Easton Stealth SCN9.
1 full turn total. i did 1/3 turn for like a minute. 3/4 for 30 seconds 1 full/MAX for 30 seconds. 98MPH? I dont FKN think so! This bastard jumped off my bat at 100+ mph and a distance of 360 feet. I felt like i cheated, and the other team was like WTF, and had it weighed and checked. 30oz as the knob says. and a waste of $25 to see if i was cheatin! LOL Other guys used it and the balls were just screaming off the bat, and 1 girl hit the fkn thing 6 feet from the fence. Tomorrow.... i just rolled sh*tty TPS Maverick, VERY STIFF BAD, couldnt get pasted 3/4 turn, but i wanna see what it does to a sh*tty bat for experimental purposes. |

finally .75turn compression and 30 revolutions. Hit BP with it, it is still a bit stiff. Am going to go to 1 full turn compression and 30 revolutions and see

Rolled a NIW Worth Mayhem M7598, .25turn compression and 30 revolutions, then .5turn compression and 30 revolutions, and finally .75turn compression and 30 revolutions. Hit BP with it, still not opened up but close. I'm going to go to 1 full turn compression and 30 revolutions and see what happens. Went 1 full turn compression and 30 revolutions. Hit BP with it, and it was greatly improved but will still take more BP to fully break-in. After more BP, it turned the corner and is good to go. I'm going to try to go to 1 1/8 - 1.25 turns. Went 1.25 turns compression and 30 revolutions. Hit BP with it, and it is improved but still not fully opened up. It is going to take some BP to get it hot. Rolled a NIW TPS (Black) Catalyst, .25turn compression and 30 revolutions, then .5turn compression and 30 revolutions, and finally .75turn compression and 30 revolutions. Hit BP with it, it is still very stiff. I'm going to go to 1 full turn compression and 30 revolutions and see what happens. Went 1 turn compression and 30 revolutions and it is still stiff. I'm going to try to go to 1.25 turns. Rolled a 30 hit Combat Gear Virus, .25turn compression and 30 revolutions, then .5turn compression and 30 revolutions, and finally .75turn compression and 30 revolutions. Rolled a Mizuno Wrath,1 full turn,3 inch crack.I started @ 1/2 turn,went to 3/4 and finally 1 full turn CRACK!!!.The bat did not make a sound until the full
turn.

Extended Fastpitch - 200PCCR rolled parallel 1 1/4 turns, developed one small 1 inch crack. Should've only went 3/4 to 1 turn, have not
heard any results yet.
NRG Fastpitch - 200PCCR rolled perpendicular 1 turn & 3/4 parallel, heard one small pop when rolling parallel so I stopped, going to hit it tomorrow to see how it is. - I'm learning that you can't put as much preasure on fastpitch bats as you can on slowpitch bats, anyone else experiencing this? |
