hey guys.. we made it out of the storm pretty good.. lots of trees down in the neighborhood and were without power for 15 days. had just purchased a generator the monday before the storm so we managed to save our fridge and freezer and even made room in our freezer for the neighbors.. (Susan smoked a turkey and we had a thanksgiving meal with the neighbors).. no real damage to our place, 3 trees topped but managed not to hit anything.. our fence is even still okay. we got...

well gots home this past monday and no damage to my place.all my fridge and freezer stuff ok.i prolly only lost power for maybe a day max or so,looks like.storm hit my area around 3 am and i had power that monday morn(i called my house and answering machine picked up,if that happens i have power).well mike u bbq'ed and didn't invite me again.

Nah, but I was hankerin for a slab of brisket, so I cooked a couple Saturday while I was sitting around with no power drinking 40.5 oz bottles of Victoria cerveza that my buddy brought back from Mexico earlier in the week . BBQ waits for nothing, not even a hurricane.

Let's just say this one had some pretty hairy moments. Even out in Tomball where I live the highest wind speeds my buddy recorded were well over 90 mph sustained. I don't want to know what it was gusting at. Luckily all I ended up with damage wise are some missing shingles. No roof leaks thank the lord. Thanks to a 15KW generator and two 60 gallon drums of fuel I managed to save all of the food in both freezers and both refrigerators that were packed to the gills with not only my...

Glad to hear y'all made it through the storm. I was in Galveston in 86 after the storm a few years before. The area had not yet recovered. If there is anything we can do DO NOT HESTITATE TO ASK!
